Greifswald has various locations that lend themselves wonderfully to dance and are used by different dance groups. Public spaces can also be explored very well through contact improvisation. The photos in this post show dancers from my dance class in front of the Pommersches Landesmuseum. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be exploring urban space of Greifswald through contact improvisation and dance improvisation. You might spot us during one of our event days in the city centre.
Throughout the year, course participants explore various public settings. Every April, for example, we celebrate World Dance Day at the Credner Anlagen (article 07/25). Last late summer, on the beach at Eldena, we experimented with dance and incorporate elements of water and the waterside landscape into our dance improvisation (article 09/25).

Are you interested in contact improvisation and would like to watch or even join in? Sign up here and feel free to come along to my dance class! It takes place every Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Kunstwerkstätten Greifswald .
