Under the theme ‘The Port of Greifswald in Pictures’, a short guided tour followed by a drawing workshop will take place on Sunday 13 September 2026 at the Greifswald Museum Harbour to mark Open Monuments Day.

Over the years, the significance, appearance and use of the area have changed. In the first part of the event, the transformation of the harbour will be traced through works of art depicting it across different periods. The guided tour starts at 9 am at the Steinbecker Bridge, by the sign for the Caspar David Friedrich Art Trail. From 10 am to 12 noon, I will lead anyone interested in a small open-air workshop, where participants can capture their own perspectives of the harbour through drawing.

No prior experience is required. Drawing materials will be provided.
