SPIELRAUM: Performance video online

At Greifswald’s ‘Long Evening of the Galleries’ in June 2026, the art-cube – Raum für zeitgenössische Kunst e.V. art association presented itself at the CUBIC on Karl-Marx-Platz. For this special evening, I developed the performance SPIELRAUM. In it, I explore how we deal with boundaries that divide our world into ‘before’ and ‘behind’, and into ‘inside’ and ‘outside’. How flexible are these boundaries? How much space do I have within them? In what ways can I actively shape them? It is important to me to make these leeways visible. Through dance-based exploration, opportunities arise to expand or to withdraw. The process of exploring and experimenting, of lingering and confronting, is translated into movement. Questions arise regarding the permeability and flexibility of boundaries.

The installation inside the CUBIC, which can be seen in the background, was created by the Osnabrück-based artist Merle Lembeck and was on display there from May to June 2026. Further information about the artist and her work can be found on the art-cube e.V. website.

As well as the photos in this post, a video of my performance is now also available online. I’ve uploaded it to the PeerTube platform, where I maintain a video channel. PeerTube is an online tool for sharing videos that operates without opaque algorithms. It was developed by the French non-profit organisation Framasoft. Do have a look!
