The first exhibition for the project Metabolat – artistic scientific research on marine transformation processes is finally in sight! I am looking forward to the opening on 11 July 2025 at the Koeppenhaus in Greifswald and invite you to make a note of the date in your diary.

On exhibition will be various works that have emerged from the interdisciplinary collaboration between Dr Marie-Katherin Zühlke (microbiologist), Susanne Gabler (artist) and myself. We have been working for two years on an artistic-scientific project in which we are focussing on research questions, but also exploring the extent to which both areas can be of use to each other. In the past, there have already been articles in which I reported on our joint process:

• 14 March 2024: An artistic-scientific work thematises the transformation of the marine habitat
• 17 September 2024: Art and science converge through dance

There is still a lot to do. We are preparing a performance for the opening evening that represents our joint development process. In addition, two further events are planned as part of the exhibition, for which lecture performances will be presented. More information will follow!
