Performance EINDRUCK AUSDRUCK – exhibited artworks transferred into movement and dance

In my three-day workshop EINDRUCK AUSDRUCK at the CDFI-Werkverkauf, the participants worked with me to develop a performance concept for the current exhibition ‘Besuch von früher!’. Primarily using contemporary dance techniques, we developed sequences on individual works of art and the relationships that exist between the works on display. The participants, Nuri Kusserow, Anke Neubauer and Saskia Schirmer, contributed very different movement experiences and positions. Experiences from acting were also incorporated into the performance. In addition, selected sound elements characterised individual performance sequences in more detail. The 20-minute performance was then shown in front of an audience at the midi opening of the exhibition on 2 November 2024.

There will also be a finissage on 30 November 2024 at 3 pm. The artists of the exhibition ‘Besuch von früher!’ are Juana Anzellini, Gustav Körnig, Johanna Herrmann, Niklas Dietzel, Charleen Dahms and Anne Martin.

As initiator and coordinator, Jo Zynda, artistic employee of the Caspar David Friedrich Institute, has been realising an exhibition programme for the empty station kiosk for six months. However, it is not only exhibitions and performances that take place here; teaching events are also organised on site. The CDFI-Werkverkauf is a project with a collaborative utilisation concept in which Jo Zynda aims to present various event formats with changing cooperation partners that are accessible to everyone.
